A chara, - So the Taoiseach thinks it is not feasible to have Irish included among the official working languages of the EU because the language is not used in all aspects of State administration. But this is not an EU precondition. Is it not high time for Fianna Fáil to nail its colours firmly to the mast?

Many party members, TDs and Senators among them, wish to see Irish included among the working languages of the EU. Can the Taoiseach and Government afford to ignore them - or indeed, the many other voices raised in support of the cause of Irish in Europe?
