RACING DIGEST:EDWARD O'GRADY is looking forward to a novice chase campaign with Tranquil Sea in the coming season.
The six-year-old disappointed in the Supreme Novices' Hurdle at Cheltenham but proved that form all wrong when winning his next two starts, including when landing the Champion Novice Hurdle at the Punchestown Festival.
O'Grady reports his charge to have summered well and is looking forward to seeing how he fares over the larger obstacles.
"Tranquil Sea is very well and seems to have strengthened up over the summer," said O'Grady.
"I think we will go chasing straight away but I'm not sure where or when he will start off. It hasn't been easy to make plans with the way the weather has been."
• CONEM made it two wins from two runs at the Listowel festival as he powered away with the Edmond Whelan Memorial Handicap Hurdle on Saturday.
The eight-year-old won on Thursday and he recorded a similarly convincing verdict for Barry Geraghty over two-and-a-half-miles. Despite shouldering a 9lb penalty, Conem breezed home by five lengths.
• A TRIP to Newmarket could be on the cards for Ladbrokes St Leger runner-up Unsung Heroine.
Having won on her first two outings, the daughter of High Chaparral ran a mighty race on Town Moor to finish just three lengths behind Conduit in the season's final Classic.
The newly-formed Pride Stakes for fillies is the likely next port of call for Stack's stable star.
