Wimbledon could be set to end their search for a new home - by moving to Hull.
The club's chairman Sam Hammam has spoken to his Hull City counterpart David Lloyd about the chances of the London side moving to East Yorkshire, according to the Yorkshire Post.
Wimbledon have been frustrated in their attempts to switch to Dublin, while Merton Council have repeatedly blocked bids to build a new stadium in south London.
But Lloyd - who is also the chief of Hull Sharks - believes there is a good chance of the Premiership club setting up base up north.
"In my opinion, if we had a team in Hull that was winning, the support would be fanatical.
"That has been proved with the rugby this season. A stadium of 30,000 would fill every match."
Hull have struggled this season, with new boss Mark Hateley unable to lift them out of the lower reaches of the Third Division.
