Green electricity developer Strategic Power is launching a venture that it says will aid businesses in reducing energy bills.
The company said on Tuesday that Strategic Power Connect will design and install renewable systems on customers’ premises that will allow them secure set energy deals.
Strategic Power’s systems will allow companies strike power-purchase agreements with electricity suppliers.
Under these deals, businesses pay wind or solar farms directly for their electricity.

According to the supplier, its systems do not require customers to spend money.

Strategic Power will fully finance, design, build and operate the systems itself, said the company.
Strategic Power Projects managing director Paul Carson said the company was launching the business in response to demand from large energy users to cut their costs.
“Our market research and constructive discussions with potential clients has highlighted just how much we can help with that,” he added.
