CBRE Hotels and Tom Spillane & Co are quoting more than €3 million for the upmarket Cahernane House Hotel in Killarney, Co Kerry.

The 38-bedroom hotel, in a picturesque setting 2km from the town centre, is approached via a tree-lined driveway and is set on private grounds which extend to 6.5 acres and overlook Killarney National Park and lakes.

Killarney, one of Ireland’s premier tourist towns, is within driving distance of Cork and Shannon airports, and is an excellent base from which to explore the Ring of Kerry and Iveragh and Dingle peninsulas.

Cahernane House Hotel is a four-star establishment that was formerly the residence of the Herbert family, the Earls of Pembroke, and dates back to the 17th century. The Queen Anne-style family house was replaced in 1877.
