The US-based CBRE Group has acquired the business of Custom Spaces, a technology-focused real estate brokerage firm that advises technology companies on occupancy strategies.

The acquisition, CBRE Ireland expects, will have a "significant impact" in the Dublin market as a result of the cluster of technology companies setting up here.

Paddy Conlon, an executive director in CBRE Dublin, said the Custom Spaces acquisition will be of value to tech companies who "operate in an incredibly dynamic environment". "There are very few real estate advisers who, like Custom Spaces, both understand the unique requirements of the tech sector and can implement related plans quickly at scale," he said.

Founded in 2011, Custom Spaces helps technology companies scale through real estate solutions and its founder, Jenny Haeg believes the acquisition by CBRE will bring their product to more clients in more markets.
