Zalando, the international e-commercial company that specialises in selling shoes, clothing and other fashion products online, has taken a 15-month lease of space at Barrow Street, overlooking Grand Canal Quay in Dublin’s Silicon Docks.

The move comes shortly after the company said it would be hiring 200 staff in the city. It will be paying €484 per sq m (€45 per sq ft) for 622sq m (6,700sq ft) on the second floor of the period building, The Warehouse.

Daniel Shannon of Knight Frank handled the subletting for Engine Yard and wrapped up the deal within a week of the space going on the market. Shane Duffy of BNP Paribas Real Estate acted for Zalando.
