You are not alone. According to the latest survey of business travellers by the Official Airlines Guide, 76 per cent of executives who knew their company's travel policies "sometimes deviated from the rules".

Reasons cited were "inconvenient schedules" (71 per cent), dislike of the company's preferred airline (17 per cent), and better frequent flier plans on other airlines (an alarmingly candid 8 per cent).
