Frank Daly’s chairmanship of Nama extended

Reappointment to the board of Nama will be effective from December 22nd

Minister for Finance Michael Noonan has announced the reappointment of Frank Daly to the board of Nama, effective from December 22nd.

Mr Daly will continue to serve as chairman of the board.

“Over the last 5 years Mr Daly has successfully performed the challenging and demanding mandate of the role of chairman of the Nama board,” Mr Noonan said.

Mr Daly retired as chairman of the Revenue Commissioners in March 2008 having been chairman since 2002 and a commissioner since 1996.

In March 2008, Mr Daly was appointed Chairman of the Commission on Taxation which was set up to review the structure and efficiency of the Irish taxation system.
