The word around town is that Harvest Financial Services, the boutique personal pension and investment adviser, may be headed for some fresh investment of its own.
The firm is currently owned by the Devitts, Terry and Gerry, and their business partner and fellow director Eugene Foley. Harvest wasn't available to talk this week, despite a series of phone calls and emails seeking comment.
The jungle drums say it has been holding talks recently with Cantor Fitzgerald, run by broker Ronan Reid. Funnily enough, he wasn't available for comment this week either.
Sources say Harvest has spoken to a number of financial firms in recent months about whether they would like to invest. Its accounts currently show shareholders’ funds of €2 million on its balance sheet.
A note posted on its website in July said it had hired an independent non-executive director, Harley Murphy, former country head here of Bank of New York Mellon. Murphy also runs an executive coaching and change management consultancy called AChange. He should have plenty to contribute.
Harvest provides a range of investment advice to its clients, which would include personal pension funds, company directors and the like. It has also helped clients invest in property assets.
It has recently been tidying up its paperwork in the Companies Registration Office, filing documents on mortgages for various properties, including a flat in Coventry, going back to 2005.
