Bank of Ireland last week sponsored a team from the UCD Smurfit Business School, who travelled to the United States to take part in the MBA Rugby World Cup.

The Smurfit team finished a creditable fourth out of 15 men’s teams, sandwiched between third-placed Harvard’s A team and fifth-placed Duke. Other university business schools to send teams include Columbia, Yale and Stanford. An elite competition, in more ways than one.
