Mater Private Healthcare has signed a deal with the Dubai police force to provide health services in Ireland to members of the force and their families.

The announcement came during a trade trip to Dubai and Minister for Enterprise Richard Bruton said there was "huge potential for Ireland to become a leading destination for medical travel".

Mater Private Healthcare chief executive Fergus Clancy said: "We will be engaging with other United Arab Emirate government departments to progress similar agreements." And he thanked Enterprise Ireland for their support.
