The cash pile at Conor McGregor’s Irish-based promotions firm swelled to more than €333,000 last year.

Accounts for McGregor Sports and Entertainment Ltd, which was only established in July 2014, hint at the growth in the mixed martial arts star’s earning potential.

The new accounts show that the cash pile at the company increased by almost €100,000 last year, going from €237,449 to €333,959. At the end of last December, the company had accumulated profits of €116,215.

The company represents only a tiny fraction of McGregor's wealth – earlier this year, Forbes estimated that he had projected annual earnings of $34 million (€29 million) in the year to June last.
