One of the stars of the movie Calvary , and veteran on the stand-up circuit, Dylan Moran was sitting on a cash pile of €1.095 million at the end of July last.
According to accounts just filed by Moran's Venus Lucia Productions Ltd to Companies House in the UK, the firm's cash pile dipped from £1.16 million to £903,296 (€1.095 million).
During the same period, the firm’s accumulated profits decreased by €147,661 from €1.035 million to €888,526 in the 12 months to the end of December last.
The two directors of the firm are Dylan Moran and his wife, Elaine who works as a script editor.
The drop in accumulated profits and cash last year follows a stellar year at the Dylan Moran firm in 2012 when his profits increased by 33 per cent from £238,763 to £1.036 million with the cash pile at the Bafta award-winning comedian’s firm last year increasing from £324,568 to £1.167m.
The firm’s shareholder funds stood at €888,626 at the end of July last.
The abridged accounts for 2013 disclose that revenues include supplies outside the scope of VAT total £1.027 million.
Revenues at the firm last year were boosted by Moran's first tour of the US where the 42-year-old brought his Yeah Yeah show in June.
This followed Moran bringing the tour to the UK, Australia, Switzerland, Holland, Ukraine, Estonia, Latvia and Russia, becoming the first English speaking comedian to perform in Russia.
Moran now lives in Edinburgh.
