Ronan Harris officially takes over today from John Herlihy as the person in charge of Google's operations in Ireland. His official title is vice-president of sales and operations, Google Europe, Middle East and Africa. Head Googler for short. His first public occasion will be next Thursday, May 7th, when he will give a keynote speech as the Reputations Agency launches its annual Reptrak ranking of the top 100 brands in Ireland, in association with the international Reputations Institute.
Google has, in the past, topped the rankings, although Volkswagen was number one last year. What is the chance that Harris’s company regains its crown on his first outing?
