Omnipay, a Dublin-based firm that develops e-commerce payment services to financial services clients, has signed a five-year deal with US firm First Data Merchant Services.

First Data, one of the largest payment processors in the world, will offer Omnipay's suite of multi-currency payment services to its alliance banks worldwide.

Mr Brian Connolly, chief executive of Omnipay, said the deal had a potential value of £45 million (€57 million) in transaction fee revenue for Omnipay.
