NUI Galway has become the only university in the State outside Dublin to secure a prestigious international accreditation for its MBA programme. The NUIG course has been recognised by the Association of MBAs (AMBA) which accredits 200 schools in over 70 countries.

"The number of MBA qualifications available worldwide is now in the thousands, but only a small percentage of these would achieve accreditation if they were submitted to our rigorous international criteria" says AMBA director of accreditation Mark Stoddard said at the weekend, commenting on the NUIG approval.
