Has anyone ever used the “poke” function on Facebook? It’s so, well, blatant. Or at least that’s what I thought until the new “ask” function appeared.

Now, instead of leaving one of your connections wondering why you poked them you can straight out ask them what their relationship status is, along with a little comment box adding in why you asked. Awkward.

Even more awkward, it appears that when your friend clicks on a relationship status to share with you it is universally updated across the entire website, letting everyone else know. Don’t use while tipsy.
