The already busy calendar of Irish start-up technology events gets a new addition this weekend with the inaugural Sligo Swell conference on Saturday.

Taking place in the Sligo Airport terminal building in Strandhill, the free day-long event aims to cater to the technology-minded creative communities in the northwest.

There will be three stages, one in arrivals, one in departures and another in the main foyer, all with talks and workshops.

Speakers include well-known illustrator Annie West, adventure photographer Christian McLeod and digital marketing expert Damien Mulley.
