Stylishly relaxed: Air Canada Rouge uniforms

The skies should certainly be brighter, or perhaps more full of glee, over Dublin this time next year as Air Canada Rouge commences its year-round service to Toronto.

The new airline, a low-cost offshoot of Air Canada, this week revealed the design of its uniforms which, let’s just say, are not exactly traditional.

It's hard to avoid thinking of television show Glee, or musical theatre in general when confronted with the trilby hats tipped at a jaunty angle, the retro cardigans and the brightest of bright colours. Air Canada Rouge says the clothes are "stylishly relaxed", reflecting the image of the airline itself.

We say, more of this approach for uniformed workers, please.
