US pop singer and rapper Nicki Minaj has cancelled her show in Dublin's 3Arena on Friday due to "severe weather conditions" on the Irish Sea, leaving thousands of fans disappointed.
Concert promoters MCD said bad weather had delayed trucks carrying equipment for the gig and the Super Bass singer’s show was therefore unable to go ahead.
“Unfortunately, due to adverse weather conditions which have affected Irish Sea sailings over the last 24 hours, resulting in some equipment trucks not arriving, Nicki Minaj has been forced to cancel her concert tonight at Dublin’s 3Arena,” MCD said.

“Nicki Minaj apologises for any inconvenience caused to fans due to these unforeseen circumstances,” the statement said.
Ticket-holders were initially advised to retain their tickets while the artist, venue and promoters worked to reschedule the date as soon as possible.
However, MCD later announced that they “have been unable to reschedule the concert despite great efforts by all parties”. Full refunds will be available from this Tuesday from point of purchase.
Many fans voiced their frustrations on social media over the cancellation of the concert at short notice – just two hours before the pop singer was due onstage at 3Arena.
