A set of 11 Victorian mahogany slipperback chairs sold for £2,400 last Tuesday at the Thomas P. Adams salerooms in Blackrock, Co Dublin. A mahogany Victorian console table fetched £2,200 and a William IV rosewood library table made £1,650.
Among the silver lots, a Victorian Adam-style four-piece silver tea and coffee service was sold to a private buyer for £2,200, while a member of the trade paid £1,325 for a pair of Dresden porcelain five-branch candelabra.
