Male fashion hounds will be keenly awaiting what promises to be one of the best bargains of the forthcoming season when Penneys/Primark releases its new Harris tweed jackets and waistcoats this weekend in flagship stores (only Mary Street in Ireland). The jackets, at €95 and €99, and waistcoats for €30, mark the first time the multiple has worked with the Scottish island weavers and certainly the lowest price points for the richly textured fabrics with which Harris has always been associated. There are two types of herringbone tweed – one in black and white and the other in shades of brown/red/navy, both very handsome, photographed here in Kerry.
