Queuing for food and refreshments at matches and entertainment events can be a pain, but a new App being used at the Aviva stadium in Dublin on Saturday aims to streamline the process. You can now order your pre-match, post-match and half-time drinks and food in advance by downloading the RapidQ App, available for iPhone and Androidsmartphones. Orders are being taken now, so you won’t miss a minute of the Ireland v France action on Saturday.
Sadly the choice of food is limited to confectionery, plus hot dogs, burgers, chips from the kiosks – but at least they should still be hot by the time you get back to your seat. The bar menu is a bit more extensive and there are multi-buy deals, four pints for €20, for example. You order and pay on your phone and collect your refreshments at a designated zone, where they will be waiting for you at the appointed time. Next move? Healthier options, delivered to your seat.
