David Whelehan set up his eponymously named wine shop a year or so ago, and I have become a frequent visitor there. Partly because it is handy to drop in to from the N11/M50 but more because he has a fascinating selection of wines that he imports directly from around the world. This week two of his wines. The name may be a little long-winded but the wine is good. Aromas of orange peel and honey, then fresh and clean in the mouth. Well-made all-purpose wine to drink solo, or with salady dishes.

Montaña Garnacha, Legado del Moncayo 2014, Campo de Borja

I name-checked Campo de Borja a few weeks back as a source of well-priced, juicy full-bodied red wines. The above wine has been given a little oak treatment but it has not been overdone, merely adding a nice spicy edge to the robust meaty strawberry and cherry fruits. Made for barbeques.
