Spacious homes in west Dublin

New houses three- and four-bed houses for sale in Blanchardstown

Built and sold directly through builder Granbrind, these three- and four-bedroom family homes, with floor space ranging from 1,400-1,700sq ft, form part of a larger 2,000 home complex which was started in 2000.

Brandon Square is the newest area of the development, with a total of 132 houses ultimately planned by the end of next year. So far, 60 have been sold and 50 occupied, and this Saturday they are releasing a further 21, comprising of four four-beds and 17 three- beds.

On entering Brandon Square there is a Spar and a crèche, as well as matured trees and a sense of a settled community.

Outside the showhouse is a small playground, with swings and hopscotch, which provides a safe and secluded gathering point for children .

On entering the house there is a sealed porch – a nice feature that’s not all that prevalent in new homes.

The front room is a standard size, as is the kitchen – and could even benefit from a few extra feet of floorspace. There is ample storage under the stairs and a large utility room with its own sink. The kitchen is long and quite narrow, with patio doors and space for a dining table.

Upstairs, the bedrooms are a good size and the attic space comes ready made for a conversion – which would make an ideal master bedroom or teenage space.

The house has an A3 BER rating and a red brick exterior, as well as a folding stairs into the attic. Nearby is Blanchardstown Shopping Centre, a large Ben Dunne Gym, plenty of creches as well as Mount Sackville secondary school.

The showhouse is open for viewing on Saturday and Sunday between 2pm and 5pm.
