Washington - All charges except obstruction of justice were dropped yesterday against the navigator of a US Marine Corps jet that clipped a gondola cable in Italy, killing 20 people, the corps said.
The acquittal earlier this month of the aircraft's pilot, Capt Richard Ashby, on charges that included involuntary manslaughter and negligent homicide, made it "unreasonable" to court-martial Capt Joseph Schweitzer on the same charges, the general in charge said.
