Asda, the British supermarket unit of Wal-Mart Stores, said today it would create 8,000 jobs in the UK this year and build a minimum of 18 new stores.
Asda, Britain's second-biggest supermarket group, also confirmed in a statement that it will roll out Asda Living, its non-food operation, to a further 10 sites.
