A memorial service for the late Prof Patrick A. Wayman, who died on December 21st, will take place tomorrow at 2.30 p.m. in Castleknock Church of Ireland Parish Church.
Prof Wayman was director of Dunsink Observatory for three decades from 1964, and from 1979 to 1982 served as general secretary of the International Astronomical Union. He was senior professor in the astronomy section of the School of Cosmic Physics of the Dublin Institute for Advanced Studies until his retirement in 1992.
