Despite being subtitled "the extraordinary life of the richest girl in the world", this book says little about 14-year-old Athina, the grand-daughter of Aristotle Onassis. Instead, in a style veering on tabloidese, it tells the story of the rags-to-riches Greek shipping magnate; the tragic life of his daughter Christina, who died when Athina was four; and the continuing struggle of Athina's father, Frenchman Thierry Roussel, to wrest control of his daughter's fortune from the Greek trust which administers it. Surrounded by bodyguards, Athina lives a "normal" life in Switzerland, says her father. Books like this, dredging up her family's sexual and business scandals, won't help Athina - despite the alleged good intentions of the authors.
