The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) in Belfast is appealing for information after a hit-and-run incident this morning left a ten-year-old boy hospitalised.

The incident occurred at about 9 a.m. near St Colomba's primary school when a Peugeot 306 failed to stop after hitting the boy.

A spokesman for the PSNI said there may be frontal damage to the car and appealed for the driver or witnesses to come forward.
