A five-year-old boy is being treated in hospital today after being severely burned when a car exploded in Derry.
It was reported that the car had been set alight by youths in Temple Park, Galliah, late last night.
Fire crews attended the scene at around 11.30 pm and it is thought the petrol tank of the car exploded while the boy was standing near by.
He was taken to Altnagelvin hospital and later transferred to the Royal Victoria in Belfast with burns to his hands and face.
