A 16-year-old boy on a fishing trip to a Kerry mountain lake was rescued early yesterday after a night search. The search was co-ordinated by Dingle Sea Cliff and Coast Rescue Service, and involved up to 50 local people and local rescue services.
Patrick Greaney (16) left his home near Cloghane at 5.30 p.m. on Sunday with his brother Darren (13). They were near the top of Mount Brandon when Patrick fell. He was located at first light by his father and brother, and was airlifted to Tralee General Hospital with head and leg injuries. His condition was described as stable last night.
