London - Murder suspects could soon be linked to a crime scene within minutes from a single fleck of dandruff after fresh breakthroughs in DNA technology, a leading scientist said yesterday.
A single trace left behind by a murderer could be analysed using a small hand-held computer and the results beamed to a central DNA database by satellite link, Dr Peter Gill of the Forensic Science Service said.
