Closing stages have been reached in the trial of a man accused of raping a woman as her boyfriend slept beside her in a Tipperary hotel room after a wedding party.
The 27-year-old accused has pleaded not guilty to raping the woman at the Tipperary hotel on July 7th, 2008. Both the prosecution and the defence have finished their closing speeches, and the jury will start deliberating after hearing a summary of the evidence from Mr Justice John Edwards.
It was day seven of the trial at the Central Criminal Court before a jury of seven men and five women.
