London - Young British doctors are being coerced by their superiors into performing abortions, according to a medical newspaper, Hospital Doctor. It reported that junior doctors had told a medical conference they had been harassed into terminating pregnancies by senior staff, who had said it was part of their training.

A spokesman for the BMA said doctors had a right to refuse to perform a procedure if they had a conscientious objection to it.
