Boy (3) dies in hospital after accident on farm in Co Wexford

Child was knocked down by low loader vehicle at Carley’s Bridge, near Enniscorthy

A three-year-old boy has died in hospital following an incident on a farm in Co Wexford.

It is understood the child was knocked down by a low loader vehicle on the farm at Carrigabruise, Carley's Bridge, near Enniscorthy.

The accident took place at about 4. 30pm.

The boy was taken to Wexford General Hospital with serious injuries.

He was pronounced dead at the hospital a short time later.

Gardaí in Enniscorthy are investigating the death, a spokesman said.
