Video footage of a car crashing into pedestrians and launching them into the air during an alleged hit and run was played in Limerick District Court on Tuesday
The CCTV footage showed a car approaching a group of pedestrians from behind at Cornmarket Row, Limerick at 1.10am on Sunday before hitting them.
Four people were injured in the incident.
Gardaí allege the car involved was being driven by Chloe McNamara (20), with an address at Sarsfield Gardens, Moyross, Limerick.
Mc McNamara, who was arrested on Sunday, appeared in court on Monday charged with three counts of dangerous driving and one count of failing to assist the injured pedestrians.
A bail hearing on Tuesday heard that gardaí were preparing a file for the Director of Public Prosecutions and it is envisaged that further serious charges will follow.
Gardaí objected to bail on a number of grounds, including the seriousness of the charges against Ms McNamara; that she is regarded as a flight risk; that they fear she would intimidate witnesses; and the nature and strength of the evidence.
Judge Carol Anne Coolican remanded Ms McNamara in continuing custody to appear before Limerick District Court again on October 26th.
