Businessman Gerard Cosgrave has brought High Court proceedings aimed at preventing the Dublin City Sheriff taking possession of his home in south Dublin.
Mr Cosgrave wants an injunction preventing the sheriff, on foot of a 2013 Circuit Court order, taking possession of his property at The Court, Donnybrook Castle, Donnybrook.
The injunction is sought by Mr Cosgrave pending the determination of proceedings brought by him against KBC Bank Ireland Ltd.
The property was due to be possessed yesterday after the bank obtained an order for execution of the Circuit Court order. Mr Justice Paul Gilligan adjourned the matter to next month.
