A man in his late teens has been arrested in connection with the robbery of a post office in Urlingford on Monday. He is the fifth man to be arrested in connection with the robbery.
He is being detained at Kilkenny Garda Station under the provisions of section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
He was arrested in the Irishtown area of the city shortly before 11am.
The four other men, aged in their mid-20s to mid-40s, who were arrested in Freshford shortly after the incident. They were brought before a special sitting of Kilkenny District Court on Tuesday night charged with robbery.
Three of them were remanded in custody while the fourth was granted bail with certain conditions.
They are set to appear before Cloverhill District Court on Monday, April 27th.
