Gardaí have arrested two men following the search of a house in west Dublin which heroin and cocaine worth more than €1 million was discovered.

The search was part of an ongoing joint investigation by officers from the drug units in Ballyfermot and Clondalkin.

The seizure took place at a house in Croftwork Park, Ballyfermot this afternoon.

The search yielded 13kg of cocaine which gardaí estimate is worth about €900,000 and 1.5kg of heroin with an estimated street value of around €225,000.

The two men, both aged 31, were arrested at the scene and were taken to Ballyfermot Garda station where they were being held under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
