A third person is due before the courts this morning charged in relation to the death of Dale Creighton following a serious assault in Tallaght, Dublin, on New Year's Day.
A Garda spokesman said a 20-year-old man would appear at the Criminal Courts of Justice this morning.
Three other men in their early 20s were arrested yesterday evening in connection with the inquiry into Mr Creighton’s death.
Graham Palmer (24) with an address at Homelawn Road and Aisling Burke (20) of Bolbrook Grove in Tallaght were both charged with violent disorder at the Dublin District Court yesterday in relation to the attack.
Mr Creighton, who was 20, died yesterday from injuries received in an alleged assault on a pedestrian bridge at Priorsgate, St Dominic’s Road, Tallaght, at about 4am on New Year’s Day.
He suffered what were described as “catastrophic” injuries in the attack and was taken from the scene to Tallaght hospital before later being transferred to Beaumont Hospital.
Mr Creighton was attending a house party, and is understood to have left following a dispute over a mobile phone.
Gardaí said there had been eight arrests to date in relation to the investigation.
One of those is the man due to appear in court today. There are four others in custody in various Garda stations in the south Dublin area and one other man was released without charge last night.
