A man has died following a house fire in Tipperary on Thursday morning.

Fire services in Clonmel responded to an emergency call shortly after 4am, and confirmed that a 31 year old had died in the incident.

He was the only inhabitant at the house, and the scene has been preserved for a technical examination.

The property, believed to be a dormer bungalow, is just off the Dungarvan Road in Kilnamack East outside Clonmel, and the fire brigade responded with two crews and a tanker.
