A 34 year-old woman is due to appear in court on Sunday afternoon in connection with the discovery of a body at a property in Limerick on Friday.
The body, believed to be that of 38 year-old Polish national Michal Rejmer who had been missing since December 30th, was found in the back garden of a house in the Briarfield area of Castletroy.
The woman was arrested on Friday evening under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 and will appear before a special sitting of Limerick District Court at 1pm today after she was formally charged in relation to Mr Rejmer’s death.
Mr Rejmer’s remains were found by members of the Limerick land search team and gardaí during a search for the missing man in Castletroy.
He had been living in Limerick for a number of years, and lived and worked close to where the discovery was made.
The body was moved from the house on Saturday and a postmortem was conducted by State Pathologist Marie Cassidy.
Mr Rejmer was a member of Dooneen Athletic Club and was highly recognisable as he always wore a bandana while running.
Gardaí are appealing for anyone with information to come forward and are carrying out house to house enquiries.
