A cyclist in his fifties was killed in a hit-and-run incident in Sligo last night.
The collision happened shortly before 11 p.m. in Knocknashammer, Gurteen, in Sligo. The man was knocked down by a car which failed to stop and was then struck by a second car.
The dead man was removed to Sligo General Hospital for a post-mortem. Gardaí at Ballymote are appealing for witnesses to the incident.
