The manager of City of Derry Airport has been removed from his position after an internal investigation into the airport's four-day closure last May.
Derry City Council, which owns the airport, said in a statement that Seamus Devine will resume his work as a qualified air traffic controller.
The airport was shut by the Civil Aviation Authority over safety concerns relating to a lack of an effective bird control plan and poor runway drainage.
Mr Devine was temporarily suspended.
