Detectives investigating the murder of a Galway taxi-driver last year are to travel to England next week to interview a man held for questioning about two murders in Britain. It has been established that the man was in Galway around the time Ms Eileen Costello O'Shaughnessy was murdered on November 30th last year. Gardai hope to eliminate him from their inquiries.
Ms Costello O'Shaughnessy's blood-stained taxi was found abandoned on the outskirts of Galway city, and the next morning her body was found at Tinker's Lane, Knockdoemore, seven miles away.
