Manchester - A British family doctor, charged with murdering eight of his female patients, appeared in court yesterday as police exhumed the body of a 10th woman.
Dr Harold Shipman (52) was ordered to stand trial for the murders of three of the women and court hearings regarding the deaths of another five were scheduled for later this month and in January. Investigations are continuing and the number of formal charges are expected to rise.
