Cardiff have completed the signing of two internationals today and will seek to bring a third - Tottenham defender Gary Doherty - to Ninian Park next week.

Manager Lennie Lawrence has brought in long-term target Alan Lee from Rotherham United and recruited Queens Park Rangers midfielder Richard Langley.

Republic of Ireland striker Lee has been signed in a deal which could eventually cost Cardiff £1.2million.

Jamaica international Langley has arrived at Ninian Park for £200,000, with significant payments due to the London club linked to appearances and the club's Division One survival.

"I've been chasing Alan for a long time and I'm delighted to at last have him on board," said Lawrence.

"And in Richard Langley, we have a player of great potential."

Lawrence confirmed he was hoping to further strengthen his squad.

"I'm looking to bring in players capable of ensuring we are challenging at the top end of Division One," he added.
