Galway's Michael Donnellan remains in contention for Sunday's All-Ireland championship opener against Roscommon despite suffering an ankle injury at the weekend.
Reports this morning suggested that Donnellan had sustained a broken ankle in a practice match on Saturday and faced a prolonged spell on the sidelines.
However, it is believed that the injury is not as serious as initially feared and the former All-Star, who has yet to start for Galway this season after undergoing a groin operation, could be fit to take his place in the forward line.
Meanwhile, the outlook for Meath's Ollie Murphy is not as positive and the prolific forward is certain to miss the Leinster quarter-final against Westmeath after he broke a bone in his shoulder.
Murphy broke the bone while playing a match for club side Carnaross. It is likely he could be out of action for eight weeks.
